Project Roar started as a small Facebook page in March of 2013. After growing community support, Project Roar became a registered non-profit organization in January of 2014.
Project Roar's goal is to change the way society views child sexual abuse. Through education and conversation, Roar knows we can make a positive difference in our communities.
A shift from living in fear to living in awareness is a major factor is feeling empowered, educated and capable of protecting children from sexual offenders.
Project Roar reaches communities in the following ways:
1) Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Workshop
2) Community presentations
3) Youth presentations
4) Parent workshops
5) Lessons with children
6) Awareness videos
7) Sharing resources from around the world
Through age appropriate, empowering education, we can change the way society views child sexual abuse. Although a large, difficult topic to tackle, we are ready, we are determined, and we will ROAR no matter what the obstacles may be.
